Skimmer Onboarding Training Sessions

Live group training sessions for any Skimmer pro — start with kick off call, build through admin and tech training, finish with payments. Designed for new pros, open to all.

Welcome to Skimmer training

Our live group training sessions walk you through everything you need to get up and running in Skimmer — from foundational settings to running routes to getting paid. Sessions are open to anyone, whether you're brand new to Skimmer or a longtime pro looking to brush up.

All times CST. Sessions repeat weekly — register once and you'll get the link to join.

The recommended path

You can attend sessions in any order, but here's how we recommend you work through them for the smoothest start:

  1. Kick Off Call — everything you need to know about getting started

  2. Admin training 1 — basics and scheduling

  3. Admin training 2 — advanced repair workflows

  4. Technician training — train your field team on the mobile app

  5. Payments workflow — once you're running routes, learn how to get paid

Kickoff call

Tuesdays · 11:30 am CSTRegister here

What we'll cover: This live session sets you up for a smooth onboarding. We'll walk through how to import your customers, your onboarding timeline and what to expect, talk through your payment workflow and how to plan for payments onboarding, and get you enrolled in group training sessions. Come with your questions. You'll leave knowing exactly what happens next.

Admin training 1 — basics and scheduling

Wednesdays · 11:00 am CSTRegister here

What we'll cover: Customer setup, route building, and scheduling basics. Learn how customer records flow from the office to the field, and how to set up routes your techs will actually love using.

Who should attend: Anyone in the office who'll be managing customers, building routes, or scheduling work.

Admin training 2 — advanced repair

Wednesdays · 1:00 pm CSTRegister here

What we'll cover: Work orders, repairs, quotes, and jobs — the workflows for any service beyond your recurring routes. Walk through real scenarios for issue reporting, shopping lists, and billing for additional work.

Who should attend: Office admins handling repair work, quotes, or any non-recurring service.

Technician training

Thursdays · 3:00 pm CSTRegister here

Fridays · 8:00 am CSTRegister here

What we'll cover: A full walkthrough of the Skimmer mobile app for your field team — completing route stops, taking readings, dosing chemicals, handling installed items, and reporting issues. Built so techs can confidently run their day in Skimmer.

Who should attend: Your technicians and field team.

*There are two time options, so you can pick what fits the schedule.

Payments workflow training

Tuesdays · 10:00 am CSTRegister here

Thursdays · 12:00 pm CSTRegister here

What we'll cover: A top-to-bottom walkthrough of the invoice generator so you can confidently bill from Skimmer. We'll cover invoice creation, drafts vs. live send, edits, and how everything flows into QuickBooks Online if you sync.

Before you attend this session:

  • Complete the technician training and have your techs actively running routes in Skimmer

  • Finish your settings configuration (especially payments-related settings, products, tax groups, and customer portal)

The payments workflow only works once real service data is flowing into Skimmer. Showing up to this session before you're running routes means the invoice generator will be empty — and the training won't stick. Get the foundation in place first.
