Why are the invoices being sent from QBO?

In this case, your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account has a setting that's automatically sending invoices after they sync from Skimmer, which is causing your customers to receive invoices from QBO and pay there instead of through Skimmer.

The good news is this is a settings issue in QBO that's quick to fix, and it doesn't affect your Skimmer data in any way.

This typically happens when Recurring Transactions or Automated Email Reminders are configured in your QBO invoice settings. These settings continue to fire even after your invoices move over to Skimmer, so they just need to be turned off manually.

To resolve this, please complete one of the following steps in QBO:

Option A — Delete the recurring template:

1. Go to Settings ⚙️
2. Under Lists, select Recurring transactions
3. Locate the Template Name and select ▼
4. Select Delete from the Action column
5. Select Yes to confirm

Option B — Edit the recurring template:

1. Go to Settings, then select Recurring transactions
2. From the Action column, select Edit for the transaction you want to update
3. Disable Make invoice recurring
4. Under Automatic invoice reminders, make sure Email Reminders are set to OFF
5. Select Save template when done
Once either of those steps is complete, QBO will stop auto-sending invoices and your customers will receive them through Skimmer as expected.
