Chargebacks are handled differently from failed payments.
Where Do Chargebacks Appear?
Chargebacks do not appear in:
Billing → Payments
Instead:
You’ll receive an email from Skimmer’s Payments Team when a dispute is filed.
You can reply directly to that email with any supporting documentation (service records, invoices, photos, agreements, etc.).
What Happens If You Win the Dispute?
If the chargeback is resolved in your favor:
The payment remains marked Paid in Skimmer.
The disputed funds are returned to you.
There are no chargeback fees — Skimmer covers Stripe’s dispute fee.
What If You Want a Record of the Chargeback?
Since chargebacks do not show inside Billing → Payments, you’ll need to document them manually if you want internal tracking.
You can:
Add a note in the customer’s Billing/Payment Notes in Skimmer, and/or
Record it in QuickBooks Online (QBO) if you track disputes there.
